This Election Sucks Donkey Dicks! (no political allusion intended)
Big ones, too. Yea long and yea big around. Not just because we have the spectacle of a nitwit draft-dodging cheerleader running neck and neck with a war hero. Not just because the Republicans are lying like Persian rugs. Getting mad at a Republican for lying and cheating is like getting mad at a skunk for stinking–that’s what they do. And it isn’t even the particularly irritating ads–like the one taken out by this anti-gay rights group, thanking our Republican senator for “protecting the sanctity of marriage.” Against what? And what “sanctity”? Marriage is a legal contract, sometimes with emotional touchy-feely overtones. All in all, marriage is as about as sacred as a honeybucket and not nearly as useful. But I digress.
What really has my shorts twisted is the antics of a bunch of supporters of Mark Neuman, running for the state house. They have planted themselves next to a sign of his, right across the highway from where I live. They wave their arms, jump up and down, and hoot like demented baboons. Drivers going by blow their horns at them. Every few seconds. And every minute or so, some knuckle-dragger driving a semi treats the neighborhood to a taste of his air horn.
If I wanted to listen to horns blowing all day, I’d move to New York City.
I wonder where Mark Neuman stands on noise pollution.
The ironic thing is, I voted for him in the primary. His opponent was one of the rare corrupt Republicans–one who got caught, and fined. I had been planning on voting for him tomorrow. I am reconsidering that decision.

Neuman is in the book: 892-7906. I’d already decided not to vote for him because his ads say nothing that makes any sense, just the usual stuff designed to sound like he’ll agree with just about anyone on anything, and besides that he looks dorky.
I’m voting for Myrl Thompson for that seat because he comes right out and expresses environmental concerns. I know that means I’m wasting a vote because no environmentalist can win an election in this state, but it’s a matter of principal for me.
Are you really reading Machiavelli? Isn’t that just what every narcissist needs, now?
there arnt any good canidates anymore
