  •     Little guy vs the rich dudes update

I have told how the good merchants of Talkeetna-all six or soof them–conspired to run me out of town legally.  So many people emailed the Anchorage Press that a reporter came to my stand at the flea market strip to interview me.  He said they got “a flood” of email–some from as far away as London, New Zealand, and Australia.

The next phase is to contact the local tourist rag, the Talkeetna Good Times (“All the news that the ruling class sees fit to print.”) If you care to, email them  at tgtnews@mtaonline.net

or snail to PO Box 967, Talkeetna, AK 99676.

They probably will not print it, knowing how they work, but at least they will know that their covers have been pulled.

The story and/or letters to the ed will  run in the Anchorage Press in the next week or two.   I will post a transcript.  Stay tuned.

Next–we go after the local TV station.

  • Some people just don’t want the eyesore while they are trying to play golf or whittle their employees 401k away.  I did write a letter to that address.

  • I sent ‘em this as a piece of my mind. Hope it’s ok. I really don’t know how long the Shaman warrior has been a part of talkeetna’s scene, but I know it’s been a while.

    Hey guys,
My God, be a sport, be human, either modify that there new dumb law you got — after all, where do you think you’re at, Manhattan? — or, if you really deem the law necessary, at least make an exception due to precedence for the colorful merchant that for years has been a part of the color and interest of Talkeetna, alongside your roads.

    Sincerely,
    Shivoysieh

  • Ps: I had to give a name and I didn’t want to say Roadrunner, though I am he, so I used the name of a guy I used to read who no longer blogs. I mean, you must admit, Roadrunner is not a proper appellation to close a serious letter with, don’t you think? Now that I think on it, the name I used is also kinda weird; maybe I shoulda said: Alec. Or John.
